EMI’s Flores To Judge Urban LAMN Jam

We are delighted to announce that Jesse Flores will judge talent at the LAMN Jam Urban Music Contest on June 7, 2011 to take place at the 1616 Club in Los Angeles.

About Jesse Flores

Jesse Flores was recently named Vice President, Label Acquisition and Development of EMI Label Services, prior to that he served as Director, Label Acquisition. EMI Label Services, one of the industry’s premiere indie label distributors, defines the essence of the independent culture and spirit while bringing all of the leverage of a major to the marketplace. Jesse’s main goal is to secure distribution deals for key labels and established artists with a specific focus on the Urban genre. The urban roster at EMI Label Services has developed rapidly over the past couple of years and includes some of today’s most influential Hip-Hop and R&B artists – Tyrese, Ice Cube, Raekwon, E-40, Talib Kweli, Jagged Edge, Trina, Twista, Too Short and Lloyd Banks are all distributed by EMI Label Services. Key Label Services partners include Slip-N-Slide Records, G-Unit Records, Lench Mob Records and Blacksmith Music. Prior to the formation of EMI Label Services, Jesse was named Director, Urban Marketing of EMI Music Marketing in 2004. Jesse came to EMI with a substantial background in music distribution. During and after graduating from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Jesse gained valuable experience as a College rep and Marketing rep for PolyGram Group Distribution. He then joined Universal Music and Video Distribution in 1999 and was quickly promoted to positions of increased responsibility in Artist Development and Sales.
