At LAMN Jam this week, Michael Doman performed an enchanting set at the N. Hollywood Regional Library. He drew a crowd and engaged all age groups, especially with his "Haunted Guitar" tune.

He has no CD for sale (alas), no upcoming gigs scheduled and his MySpace page doesn’t begin to do him justice. So who is this guy? He's someone dedicated to his craft and to writing excellent, moving and truthful songs, and he doesn’t look beyond that (too much) to commerce. Somehow, I find this refreshing. No one who entered the room to listen left until he finished playing, even a few folks who claimed they only had "a few minutes."
